We know a number of Boy Scouts who are involved in decorating the 190,000 graves of Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for Memorial Day, which reminded me that I never shared the pictures that Francis took a few months ago.
Jefferson Barracks was officially designated as a National Cemetery in 1866, but the first burial at the post cemetery is believed to have been the infant daughter of an officer stationed at the post in 1827. If you are interested in numbers and statistics as well as notable people buried here, comprehensive details can be found on the website.
